I also am satisfied with my choice of buying a "reconditioned" model, same warranty as a new unit with additional savings. I believe this is one of the best cutters made selling at a reasonable price.
The only drawback is the dust collection, which clogs, just as my Dewat does, but I can live with it. I am living in another state for a couple of years, and have started a few projects here, however my tools remain elsewhere, so I bought the PC bisquit joiner. And when I return home, I will sell the Dewalt. Overall, a great tool. My other one is a Dewalt, which I liked fine, but I think this one has serves my needs a little better. I can do angles and smaller bisquits when needed.
I believe the fence is the best on the market. I comes with 2 cutter heads, one for #0-#20 and one for FF (face frame).
It may cost a little more, but well worth the price difference. The small one is very useful for joining the rails and stiles on face frame cabinets.
A great tool. The fence adjustments are easy and accurate because of the screw adjustment.
You can't go wrong with this one. I have made table tops, cabinets, and frames using the PC Plate joiner.
The fence angles both directions so you can cut slots dead center in frames and box corners.
